The intermodal centre is part of the South Tyrolean mobility concept pursued by STA – Strutture Trasporto Alto Adige SpA, which aims to simplify the transition from private to public transport.
The project is a passenger interchange centre, located next to the Bressanone railway station and equipped with the necessary infrastructures (public transport shelters, bicycle parking, car parking) to guarantee a smooth and simple interchange between public (train, city bus, bus) and private transport.

In this context, NET Engineering has dealt with the design services – including modelling and information management activities – for the mobility centre of Bressanone,  that will be under construction by March 2021.

This is the first project carried out entirely in BIM by NET: the focus was an organised and structured activity development through the BIM methodology, which required the adoption of innovative tools, thus optimising the flow of operations and information management. BIM was not used just as a a tool for efficiency and process control, but also as an opportunity to facilitate the activity of the construction company and the work management phase, which NET is in charge of. This approach facilitates the control of the work progress and allows the client to be provided with a comprehensive BIM model that will also include everything that has been built from scratch and through which it will be possible to verify and plan the necessary maintenance and any subsequent interventions.
