31 Aug NET to participate in European Transport Conference
On the occasion of the first online edition of the European Transport Conference, NET Engineering will be one of the protagonists with two events on public transport.
The Association for European Transport (AET), one of the main European organisations of transport professionals, holds annually the European Transport Conference, with the aim of bringing together academics and experts in the field and enrich the debate and exchange of views on mobility and transport.
NET Engineering will be one of the protagonists of ETC 2020 – scheduled from 9th to 11th of September for the first time in online mode – with two events on public transport:
- “Systems Thinking and System Dynamics approach as a methodology supporting long-term impacts of a transport system: tramways in middle-sized cities“, with A. Bassi (KnowlEdge Srl and the International Institute for Sustainable Development) and G. Acciaro (NET): starting from the design experience performed by NET for the city of Bolzano, the meeting will be an opportunity to reflect on innovative methodologies for the sustainability of interventions (September 9 at 10.00 am – Session 1 – Urban Mobility).
- “A novel location data intelligence framework fostering smart cycling inclusion and transport decarbonisation in small- to medium-sized European cities. Evidence based findings from recent trials conducted in German and Italian cities“, with G. Ciccarelli (NET): a meeting dedicated to Big Data in the field of cycling, a topic that is now more central than ever for the redesign of transport in our cities (September 11 at 3.30 pm – Session 9 – Mobile Network Data/GPS Data).
