09 Sep Heritage Preservation & Economic Development in Vietnam
the NET group will participate in the event organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, to promote a smart approach to urban planning.
Aiming at strengthening its presence in Vietnam, NET Engineering will support the next “Heritage Preservation & Economic Development technical seminary” organised by ICHAM (Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam), the General Consulate of Italy in Vietnam and the design company SCE project Asia, to be held in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th September.
The seminar is intended to share experiences and best practices for the conservation and promotion of the Vietnamese historical heritage, involving a panel of international and local experts with a view strongly oriented towards multidisciplinarity.
On behalf of NET Engineering, Giovanni Acciaro will discuss the topic of the role that railway stations can have for urban regeneration and value creation, with connected mobility services, in the broader context of the Smart City.
In Vietnam, the NET group is already active: in the framework of the 3rd High Level Dialogue on ASEAN-Italy Relations held in Hanoi on June 6th, 2019, NET Engineering officially handed over to the Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Ngoc Dong the results of the pre-feasibility Study of the corridor connecting Hai Phong and Lac Huyen Ports to the Capital City Hanoi, and further to Lao Cai near the Chinese border. The corridor is part of the 6 Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Economic Corridors connecting and boosting economic growth of Cambodia, China, Lao, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
