Italy and Romania: building together

an opportunity for the internationalization of Italian companies operating in the infrastructure sector

NET Engineering has participated in the business mission organized in Bucharest by ICE – italian institute for foreign trade – in partnership with ANCE – national association of builders – and OICE, association of organizations of engineering, architecture and technical-economic consulting – with the support of the Italian Embassy in Romania.

The seminars were held from July 9 to 10 and involved several Italian design and construction companies, operating in the sectors of transport infrastructures (roads, railways, ports, airports), tourism infrastructure, environmental facilities (pipes and aqueducts, treatment and disposal plants), specialized buildings (hospitals, schools, etc …), as well as in the fields of residential and commercial buildings.

The event has been attended by numerous personalities, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni, that have been were briefed about the major projects planned in the fields of construction and infrastructures by the competent Romanian ministries and national agencies.

The main objective of this initiative – which also included interesting bilateral meetings between Italian and Romanian counterparts – was to explain the opportunities offered by the Romanian market considering the allocation of European funds in the amount of about 23 billion euro, under the Financial Program 2014-2020.
